Use What’s There

I know, that post title can be taken in so many ways. Talk about artfully vague, eh!

I need to watch the movie The Usual Suspects again. During my conversation with K and H tonight, I realized that the movie is a stellar example of incorporating environmental cues for utilization.

I am somewhat aware of my attempt to try to “go there first” and drop into a modified form of trance (uptime trance) to lead my subject to go deeper. As I focus my intention on doing what I have to do, I realize how easy it can be to filter out my surroundings so that it’s just me and my subject. Unfortunately, doing that may deprive me of access to all the things in my immediate environment that I might possibly utilize in my inductions and suggestions.

Whether I’m trying to pace and lead to influence someone in conversation or going for a full-blown hypnotic trance experience, being aware of my surroundings affords me with a wealth of possible tracks that I could weave into my suggestions.
