Hand-Spread Induction
I first learned about this induction on a great website called howtodoinductions. This is how I like to do it.
Please, get comfortable. Are you wearing a watch? Good.
Bring your arm out in front of you, your upper arm parallel to the floor, elbow down and fingers pointing up, palm facing you with your watchband just above your eye level. Raise your gaze so that you can look up towards your finger tips and now spread your fingers as far apart as they can go. Splay those fingers as if each finger and your thumb is attempting to flee from your palm, and watch them as they tremble and twitch, ever so slightly. Just focus on those fingers, and as your hand begins to relax, you can actually see your fingers begin to draw closer to each other, and the more relaxed your hand becomes, you may begin to become aware of small movements of your arm, and you may even notice that your entire hand is drawing closer towards you in the tiniest increments. Your hand is compelled by an irresistible attraction, moving towards your head, or towards your face, or maybe even towards your body, and your eyes will adjust as you continue to focus on your hand, because it is still moving towards you. Your fingers want to move, your hand wants to move, and with every twitch of a finger, and with every shift of your arm, your hand moves closer and closer to you, as if it’s being pulled down towards you by some kind of strange amplified gravity.
And as your hand relaxes more and more and your arm gets heavier and heavier, so too, your eyelids may begin to feel heavy, your focus a little more work to maintain. And the closer your hand gets, the more your eyes can close until they close completely. And when you can finally allow your hand to drop down is when you can allow yourself to drop down into a deep and comfortable trance. That’s right, just relax now and let yourself go deeper.
